Post-Election Audit Selection of Idaho Counties, Precincts

(Boise, Idaho) – Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane announced the Idaho counties and precincts selected for a post-election audit following the November 5, 2024 General Election. The random draw to select the counties and precincts was conducted today at the Idaho State Capitol by the Idaho Board of Canvassers, which includes Secretary McGrane, Controller Brandon Woolf, and Treasurer Julie Ellsworth.

Audit teams consisting of Secretary of State staff and Boise State University honors accounting students will visit the selected counties and perform a hand count of the general election ballots to compare with the canvassed election results. The public and media are welcome to attend the audits. The eight counties selected for audit and the scheduled audit dates are listed below and may be found on VoteIdaho.gov.
